Real Application Case 200W COB LED Spotlight in a Guangzhou Small Theater

Before using our 200W COB LED spotlight, the theater was using old incandescent Stage Lights. The main problems were dim light, obvious flicker when shooting, frequent bulb burnout, and high energy consumption—common pain points for small theater stage lighting. It was difficult to meet the basic lighting needs of small dramas, especially when shooting performance videos and live streaming, the picture was often unclear and the color was distorted, failing to meet professional stage lighting standards.
After replacing with our 200W COB LED spotlight, the theater solved these problems perfectly. We installed 21 fixtures in total, 15 as key lighting for the stage front, and 6 as auxiliary lighting for the background.
In daily use, the theater staff said that the operation is very simple. The 15-50° motorized zoom can be adjusted directly through the controller, which is very convenient when switching between actor close-ups and stage wide-angle lighting. During a recent children’s play performance, the light was adjusted to a 20° narrow beam for the actor’s close-up, highlighting the expression details, and then quickly zoomed to 45° to cover the entire stage when the chorus appeared, without manual disassembly and adjustment.
In terms of actual performance, the light has been used continuously for 3 months, with no bulb damage or equipment failure. The quiet cooling system does not make any noise, which is very important for small theaters with small space, and will not affect the audience’s viewing experience. When shooting performance videos, there is no flicker, and the color of the actors’ costumes and stage props is restored very realistically, which is praised by the audience and the video editing team.
The theater manager mentioned that after replacing the new lights, the monthly electricity bill for lighting has been reduced by nearly half, and there is no need to frequently replace the bulbs, which saves a lot of maintenance costs—an important advantage of energy-saving LED stage lights. At present, the lights are used for every performance, and they are stable and reliable, fully meeting the daily use needs of the small theater for professional stage lighting.
